MS GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Middle School girls basketball teams were busy over the break as they participated in the New Bremen Holiday Classsic. The 7th grade team went 2-0, beating Jackson Center, 36-12 and Botkins, 45-16. In the Jackson Center game, Kenna Fulmer led the squad with 12 points, with Kali Craft contributing 10. Adi Willimas generated 6 points, including her 1st 3 of her career. Ari Klausing had 4 points, while Olivia Opperman and Bailey Lampert each scored a bucket. In the Botkins game, the hot shooting of Ari Klausing (16 points, 2 3 pointers) paced the Riders to victory. Kali Craft and Kenna Fulmer had 12 and 8 points, respectively. Adi Williams tallied 7, while Olivia Opperman scored 2. Bailey Lampert connected on a free Throw in the game. The 8th grade girls dropped both contests. Jackson Center beat the Riders 35-28. Morgyn Parsons led the team with 9 points, while Sophia Coldiron contributed 8. Joslyn Cable and Emery Verbryke each cashed in 4 points, while Brooklyn Cotterman had a basket. In the Botkins game, the Riders fell 33-18. Emery Verbryke and Joslyn Cable led the offense with 5 points apiece. Sophia Coldiron added 4 points, while Brooklyn Cotterman and Morgyn Parsons each had 2. The Middle School girls are back at it Tuesday evening as they travel to Russia.
