MS GIRLS BASKETBALL

The middle school girls basketball teams were busy this week as they traveled to Kenton on Tuesday evening. The 7th grade dropped their contest 39-34. Kenna Fulmer led the blue and gold with 18 points, while Kali Craft and Ari Klausing accounted for 8 and 6 points, respectively. Adi Williams added a bucket to round out the scoring. The 8th grade team also was defeated 29-16. Emery Verbryke dumped in 7 points, while Morgyn Parsons contributed 5. Sophia Coldiron and Hailey Schwind each added a bucket of their own. On Thursday evening, the Riders hosted Marion Local. The 7th graders defeated the Flyers in overtime, 32-30. Kenna Fulmer paced the Riders with 25 points, Kali Craft cashed in with 6, and Lila Ballweg rounded out the scoring with a free throw. The 8th grade team lost 50-10. Sophia Coldiron scored 5 points, while Joslyn Cable and Hailey Schwind each had a basket. Brooklyn Cotterman garnered 1 from the charity line. The girls are back on the road on Monday when they travel to Parkway.
