3rd Annual St. Marys Baseball Cancer Survivor Game and Team Kantner Day On Friday, May 8th, the Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball teams will host Minster in our 3rd Annual Cancer Survivor Game. The games will take place at KC Geiger Park Diamond #7, the varsity field by the main entrance. We are also showing our support for the Kantner family. Brian Kantner, father of baseball player Reid Kantner, is courageously battling another round of cancer. The Junior Varsity game will begin at 4:30 PM with the Varsity contest following at approximately 7:30 PM. On the 8th, we would like to honor any cancer survivor or anyone currently battling cancer by inviting them to join us on the field pregame between the Varsity and Junior Varsity games, at approximately 7:15 PM, for The National Anthem. If you or someone you know would like to participate before the game, please contact me at adam.graves@smriders.net. We will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers during the games for a free will donation. There will also be a 50/50 drawing. If you would like to buy tickets for the 50/50 and won’t be able to attend the game, you can contact me to arrange payment or Venmo me @Adam-Graves-SM with your name and phone number. Tickets will be 1 for $5 or 5 tickets for $20. The 50/50 will be drawn during the varsity game. All money raised from the cookout and the 50/50 will be donated directly to help the Kantner family.
